Week #2 Updates (Screenshots)

It’s been a while, but be prepared for some amazing surprises!

Screenshots are in town (albeit there is little you can see as most of the progress is in the backend coding – which we will not be disclosing).

Please note we’ve only recent begun the work so the work may seem a little basic right now (i.e. the textures as we’re just prototyping now and not really focused on the graphical side), but over the next few months we will be polishing everything off to an AAA standard, you will be able to see video updates as we progress.

Character <3

Now, now we know its basic and lifeless but we promise you it’ll get more interesting in the next few weeks – but a start is a start nonetheless.

Building Satellite … Again

We’ve started building the most infamous map in SF2 from ground up (as you can see below – we’ve just begun) and as many of you may wonder about the the new extension.

And this rendered (realtime/ingame):

Stairs from the Attack spawn leading to the newly created zone

What we’ll be doing in our edition of satellite is expanding the map and creating a new floor that extends on to the A server (as seen in SF2) but this is still under review and you guys will have the final pick on whether you’ll want this.

For those interested in our technical workings we’ve programmed the game in both C++ and Blueprints, heres our dynamic road system:

We’ve also started work on the animations, created with Augmented Reality thanks to our friends at Holition – this new method helps us create animations quicker, cheaper and to pixel accuracy.

Here’s what we made last week, the sounds for the character movements represented in Blueprints:

We’ll be posting a video soon about the sounds as soon as the Character animations are complete.

Oh and here’s a BONUS, our first edition of the baseball bat:

Reserve your username

For all the loyal fans that are supporting the project, we will soon allow you to reserve your username (as long as you hold the same name in SF2) on a first come first serve basis, limited to 1 username per person – more details to follow.

What’s coming up (within the) next week:

  • Our refreshingly new Logo
  • Community Forums
  • A new website design
  • Start on the HUD
  • Start on the Character Animations
  • A “surprise” video of gameplay (as well as any other points mentioned above)
  • The completion of the first map, Satellite
  • Username reserve system

Thank you guys – have a nice day!

          Hello,

It takes roughly 7-10 days to make progress on the game, then a further 3 days to test the features and go through quality assurance and 2 days for updates to be written up therefore logistically speaking updates will be every other week (this is taking into account weekends too). More details will be published soon regarding this matter the coming Thursday.

          Many Thanks,
          Admin Team

          Hello,

We are a team located in Sweden and the United States, currently working under a company called Foretag Inc. registered in U.S. Virgin Islands (hence why we are not publicly listed – but we will be once the game is ready to launch) and currently we are not looking recruit developers but with that being said we definitely will be at a later stage.

          Many Thanks,

  2. That’s good news.
SF2’s really fun. I’m looking forward to it.
by the way, do you have any plans to open a Korea server?
I hope SF2 the chronic problem will be fixed.
    example, 1(AR&SR), 2(HG) swap bug, zoom sensi(2 zoom) below 11 unnatural, etc…
    I’ll visit often.
    good luck to the admin.

      Hello,

Information is located on our first post:

      In-house anti-cheat
After 100s of hours of research and discussions we have decided to build our own anti-cheat in-house with our development team, instead of relying on industry standard alternatives – this saves us a lot of our budget, however adds to the development time. Unlike our predecessor (“SF2”) we will pressure all cheat as a service websites (i.e. SystemCheats, AimJunkies, MrSnapz) with strongwill legally while consequently improving our anti-cheat algorithms.

      Many Thanks,
      Admin Team
